It's a good sign to when Andre Leon Tally exclaims your to waiting guests, "You should get in there, it's really beautiful." While Tally did have the privilege of seeing Rachel Roy's spring/summer 09 presentation first, those who waited had the opportunity to scope out new trends developing in the lobby. The amount of chunky, strappy heels stirred up conversation about how we all had to go shoe shopping immediately for our own fall pair. Lynn Yeager gave us a thumbs up after declaring herself the, "worst trend-spotter ever." The fact that she dug Roy's newest installation makes us doubt that. Roy said that the collection itself is "Paris by way of Africa," something that should be, "successful by way of celebrity fans." We'd like to include the world at large as well—but that's just our humble trend-spotting opinion.
