Get some planetary action with your November horoscopes.

Fasten your seatbelts, folks. On November 4—Election Day—conservative Saturn clashes with rebellious Uranus. As if you didn't see it coming! The last time this happened was in the mid-'60s, so imagine the tension and potential fallout. On the 26th, take-no-prisoners Pluto re-enters Capricorn (the sign that rules government, business, and banking) until 2023! Yes, that means Change is no longer an option—it's non-negotiable. The good news is beginning the 27th there are four weeks when all the planets are moving direct, so it's a perfect time to ditch what's broke and usher in something new. About time, right?

SCORPIO October 24-November 21
Don't be discouraged by setbacks in early November; this is the month you've been waiting for. On the 10th the Scorpio sun harmonizes with dazzling Jupiter and electric Uranus; obstacles that were blocking a dream project disappear and new doors open. Leos are the rock stars, all swagger and sequins; Scorpios are royalty; the world comes to you. So, start getting used to that crown.

SAGITTARIUS November 22-December 21
Since 1995 Pluto has been in Sadge kicking up a storm and forcing you to confront your scariest demons. The good news is that Pluto departs on the 26th. You may feel dazed, like someone emerging from rehab, but it'll pass. Celebrate on the 27th when the sun, moon, Mercury, and Mars all party in your sign. CAPRICORN December 22-January 19
In the brilliant 1962 Italian film Mafioso, the protagonist (a factory supervisor) is shipped from Sicily to New York City in a crate to commit a murder for the Mafia, then shipped back. When Saturn and Uranus face off on the 4th you may find yourself in a tight spot and have to make a difficult choice. Don't compromise your values. Once Pluto enters Cap on the 26th you'll be calling all the shots.

Star Struck: Romance, Intrigue, Money—Your October Horoscopes!

Poor Mercury retrograde gets such a bad buzz. Let's face it; it's lousy for making major purchases (especially Mercury ruled computers and cars) or launching important projects (like the Bailout Plan or Presidential debates; God help us). On the other hand, it works for taking care of old business. Mercury is currently in elegant Libra, the sign of relationships, beauty, and art, so it's perfect for hooking up with ex-lovers, scoring at vintage shops, or selling those art deco lamps on eBay. Just don't be so eager to see it move forward on the 15th—in early November life gets intense, so you might as well enjoy the downtime.

LIBRA September 23 - October 23
The combination of Mercury retro in Libra and Venus in your money house inspires you to take control of your life and your finances, and suddenly everything falls into place. The full moon on the 14th brings a hot new romance or fires up a current one, and once Venus enters your witty 3rd house (on the 18th) you're ready to start a literary salon like the Algonquin Round Table or complete your memoir.

VIRGO August 23 - September 22
You may know how to program a computer and speak Mandarin, but you're clueless about your love life. Take a tip from the Golden Retriever who recently nursed three tiger cubs left high and dry by their mum at a Kansas zoo. The full moon on the 15th brings new (yet different) people into your life. No one's asking you to lower your standards, but it wouldn't hurt to be a little less critical.

LIBRA September 23 - October 23
Aries is said to be the iron fist; but Libra is the iron fist in the velvet Lanvin glove. LEO July 23-August 22
Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby (a Leo, naturally) just celebrated her 40th birthday and although she planned a quiet day with family she couldn't escape the publicity. With the dramatic solar eclipse in Leo on the 1st, there's going to be fireworks, so stop pretending you don't love the spotlight…go ahead, live it up. This is your time; say "yes" to absolutely everything. You can worry about the consequences later.

VIRGO August 23-September 22
Even the most practical Virgos may experience spontaneous memories of past lives or alien abductions this month. Blame it on the eclipse in your psychic 12th house. Once the sun enters Virgo on the 22nd, you'll be back to your senses, although strangely altered. A rare second new moon in Virgo on the 30th may have you writing and talking about your experience. TAURUS April 20 – May 20
In 1950, Taurus Richard Avedon met model Suzy Parker, an untamed Scorpio, whose style inspired his work and thus changed fashion photography forever. Okay, maybe when Pluto seduces Venus on the 17th, you won't change the art world—but you will meet a fiery Scorpio who may transform your life (if even for a night).
