British Flower Power Falls Into the Gap

libertypatterns.jpgWe'd like to say that it was Barneys' own Simon Doonan who put the forever-cool thing into those iconic floral Liberty prints (he wears those crisp button-down shirts so well). Now we hear The Gap has teamed up with Liberty to produce a tiny little capsule collection featuring some of the historical label's archival prints. Part of The Gap's Design Editions, the pieces (which debuted in UK Gaps earlier this month) include some easy staples like a short-sleeve cotton shirt and some simple dresses. Allegedly, the collaboration should run into the fall. All this begs the question, of course: Will the flowery looks it make it overseas? Officially, there are no plans for U.S. distribution (file that under the long list of trade imbalances.) Look out for the collection under eBay's fashion listing (or better yet, our eBay listings.)
