Bull Suit: Armani Designs for Matadors

giorgioarmani_matador.jpgThis month, Giorgio Armani steps into the ring by designing the costume of Spain's most celebrated matador's, Cayetano Rivera. Clad in head to toe greige accented with a scarlet velvet full-length cape, Rivera may be the best-dressed matador in Spain's history (or just over-prepared for a role in" Phantom of the Opera".) Surely, it's a boon for the already legendary Armani, who now joins Pablo Picasso and bullfighter Antonio Ordoñez in the rarefied ranks of celebrity bullfighting designers—animal rights issues aside. Let's just hope the final product is appropriately strategic in it's use of red. (Independent UK)
