Chanel Cancels Mobile Art Tour

chanel-mobile-art-1.jpg

Thanks to that lovely little recession going around, Chanel has decided to cancel their Mobile Art tour, meaning that New York's Central Park was officially their final pit stop. The expansive space-age structure, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, was bound for London, Moscow and Paris. While no official cost has been revealed for the traveling exhibit, Chanel apparently feels it's better to play it safe, pack up, and focus on other strategic growth investments—i.e. bags and sunglasses. As if this news wasn't salty enough, Karl may have to additionally focus on keeping those beef jerky Chanel bags from becoming more popular than his own. (WWD)
