Collab Alert! Puma Pounces on Alexander McQueen

mcqueen-puma-0116.jpgIn this time of rampant collaborations, some are good—Charlotte Ronson for Urban Outfitters—and some aren't worth remembering—Madonna for H&M. Paring brands and designers is tricky business, but we think someone just got one right. As WWD reports, Puma, the forward-thinking sport line, has just announced a deal with Alexander McQueen, the forward-thinking madcap Brit designer. Oh, we can just imagine the possible wonderful wares that will be on display when the line, "Alexander McQueen Puma apparel and accessories," by name, debuts next week in Milan. Puma has certainly been killing it as of late—check out these trompe-l'oeil sneakers as evidence. Presented through a short film, the collection will feature t-shirts, jackets, and other sporty looks ranging from $75 to $790. A high a price as that is for athletic-teamed gear, we're going to keep our eyes on this one. (WWD)
