The mini-epic of the Roitfeld-to-Vogue rumors seems to have come to a close. As reported by the New York Observer, Baroness Wintour of Anna said, while exiting a media panel for the Newhouse School of Communication at the Plaza Hotel today, "I have no plans to leave American Vogue now or in the foreseeable future." Sounds pretty definitive on her end (though one could always argue that others have different plans for her). Further, The Observer says, when asked by the panel's moderator what would cause her to retire, the Wintour said, "I think—my father always said to me that when you get too angry that's the time to stop. The day I get too angry is the day I take up gardening." And really, who would want to make Anna angry? It'd be like sucker punching Bruce Banner. As we told you, Wintour will give you her magazine when you take it from her cold, dead hands. (NYO)
