Fashion, Fantasy & Furstenberg: The Latest in Comic-Book Wear
We've always relished the scintillating symbiotic relationship between comic books and fashion—from Superman and Catwoman to Love and Rockets (above, left), comics have been inspiration for designers (seems like just the other day we were ogling Superheroes at the Met) as well as many a halloween costume. In one of the latest incarnations of this timeless interplay, DVF is releasing a limited edition comic book to accompany her Holiday 2008 collection (as we just read on PSFK). Womenswear a la Wonder Woman? We're in love! The super retro-looking and cute-sounding Be The Wonder Wonder Woman You Can Be: The Adventures of Diva, Viva, and Fifa includes Diane's own "Words to Live By" and proceeds will benefit Vital Voices, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women worldwide. Just as it's our unwavering belief that Veronica was by far the coolest member of Archie's gang, we're sure DVF's collection will live up to its inspiration. (PSFK)
