A Dreamy New Skaterrific Exhibition Drops at Milk Studios

Tim Barber is a true Renaissance man: a photographer (most recently lensing the new U.O. campaign), a publisher (for print-on-demand publishing house TV Books), and, most notably, the digital curator behind Tiny Vices (that Ryan McGinley-approved launch pad for emerging photographic talent). We're always itching to see what Mr. Barber will do next&hellip: end the recession? Actually tomorrow (June 2nd) he'll be at Milk Studios, bringing his hyper-linking vision to "Acid Drop", an exhibition featuring the work of Kenneth Cappello—no creative slouch himself. Born in Houston, he cut his chops as the assistant to David LaChappelle and has shot for iD, Vanity Fair and Dazed & Confused, among others. The show itself is arranged around casual, candid snapshots from Cappello's youth (think shots of bleach blond boys in high-tops doing hand-stands on the blacktop, and grade-school rebels in L.A. Gear tees jumping over dad's Lincoln). It's all the sort of dreamy, sun-drenched sort of images you might see in a Gus Van Sant film about growing up skateboarding in Texas. Now Mr. Barber, what fun will you come up with next?
