Like a Prayer: Dolce and Gabbana Expect to Offend With New Campaign

dolce-ad-0114.jpgWe've been surprisingly priest-interested as of late (that sounds weirder than it is), so leave it to Dolce & Gabbana to read our minds with their next ad campaign (oh, those Italians!). Stefano and Domenico told Italian daily La Stampa that they plan on showing men on their knees praying, and have no doubt that it might cause an uproar from religious groups. All the drama isn't totally surprising though, considering the design duo are known for their racy campaigns, including the one from two years ago that was pulled from Spanish mags, because it was considered disrespectful to women. While they claim that the upcoming ad "could be read as a return to values," we kind of doubt the photos will be as holy as they sound. So start fantasizing now: will the men be shirtless and dripping sweat from their chests? And what (or who) will they be kneeling in front of? (WGSN)
