Obedient Sons and Daughters Shuts Down and The Hutsons Start Anew

osad_0108.jpgWell this sucks. One of our favorite lines in the circle of New-York indie labels, Obedient Sons and Daughters, has joined the long list of recently expired brands. Helmed by one of fashions cutest couples, Swaim and Christina Hutson, Obedient Sons gained critical acclaim and a recent CFDA nomination in their four seasons of existence. But, as Style File notes in their scoop all the praise for their high-concept looks change studio's prevailing economics. As Swaim Hutson told Style File, "For the last year, we have continuously fought to maintain daily operations and have exhausted all alternatives and at this point we need to move on." The good news is that fans of the Hutsons will be launching a new brand with a new name on February 14. Seems that this Valentine's Day we're going to fall in love all over again.
