Party Planning Committee: Gawker Predicts What Kind of New Year's You'll Have

new-year-party-confetti.jpgCome the 31st, some of us will be atop the new Standard Hotel toasting the New Year, counting down on a Bushwick rooftop, or on a beach doing little more than sipping a Pacifico and remarking on how terribly lucky you are. No matter how novel or lowly your plans, Gawker has mapped out a surprisingly accurate list of the five types of New Year's Eve Parties. Ourselves, we've often relied on the kindness of strangers, falling into the "There's a Place Just a Few Blocks Up" category and we tend to avoid the "At the Clurrrrrb" style bash. While we're aiming for an "Auld Lang Syne," all we know is wherever we are, we'll be happy to wish 2008 a healthy "goodbye" and a resounding, "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out."
