Prints for a Pittance: Jonathan Saunders' Full Target Line

js1002a.jpg

London-based master of color and pattern Jonathan Sanders' new collection for Target is such a wallet-friendly showcase of his simple silhouettes, unique prints, and color schemes, you may have no choice but to buy the whole line. You can't say we didn't warn you. In his spring 2009 runway collection, structured tops and flowing skirts were accented by bold colorblocking using a cool, dreamy palette. Checking out the lookbook this afternoon, we noticed how this British sensibility translates well to Target's large-scale, cheap-chic retail formula. Launching at most Target stores nationwide on Sunday, the line showcases simple shift dresses and button-downs made memorable in vibrant marble, kaleidoscope, and windowpane prints with graphic colorblocking on tees, dresses, and jackets. With chic staples for any wardrobe—including a classic black ponte skirt, cropped vest, reversible belt, and color-block tee—you really can't beat the $14.99-$59.99 price range. FYI—most Target stores open at 8 a.m. sharp.
