Poster Girl: Lykke Li Works Bodkin's Fall Look

If you haven't heard of Swedish indie-pop star extraordinaire Lykke Li yet, you might have been living under a rock this summer. Not only has she been touring tirelessly, she's graced the pages of countless magazines in interviews and fashion spreads. Characterized by her quirky top-knot, smoky cat-eyes, and fashion-forward get ups, Li has become a darling of the style community.

This fact is evidenced further by her latest project—a photo shoot with one of our favorite up-and-coming labels, Bodkin. Known for their modern, eco-friendly styles, design duo Samantha Pleet and Eviana Hartman have pushed the envelope for spring '09 by creating structured yet sexy pieces from recycled mesh and nylon, even unprocessed silk blessed by the Dalai Lama. Li shows off a sleek cream dress paired with combat boots, while a wispy black mesh number is bolstered by rich suede booties—stunning pieces that will look just as good on the street as on the stage.
