Who better than the giant flower-wearing fashion fairy, Sarah Jessica Parker, to usher you through the Metropolitan Museum's "Costume: "The Art of Dress" exhibit? Always up to something new, it's seems SJP is taking a break from playing Perfumier and party fixture, to do something a bit more, well, serious. As of November 25, Parker will lend her voice to the new audio tour of The Costume Institute's picks for the best in historical fashion (from the 6th century B.C. to nowadays) as rendered in the Met's permanent collections. But just in case you're not into the whole headset thing, the original volunteer-guided tour is still around at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, when the Costume Institute is closed in between special exhibitions. Personally, we think we'll opt for Sarah Jessica's version, "We couldn't help but wonder...".
