Skidding off the Runway: Victor & Rolf say "No" to the Catwalk

vr0915.jpgPoo! The Barnum and Bailey of Paris Fashion Week, Viktor & Rolf have announced that they have left our plane of reality and opted for a virtual runway presentation this spring/summer instead of a physical one. Could this be the result of creative exhaustion (they usually put on the most extreme and decadent line shows and have been busy with their Barbican exhibit and other projects), a shaky economy (many designers have been cutting back on presentation costs), or infatuation with digital media? You just can't be sure with those two. Democratic as the online runway show will be—the project will allow all the world into their virtual "backstage," we have to say that we're more fans of brick and mortar presentations than picas and pixels.
