Stella McCartney's New Lingerie Line For Bendon Looks More Granny Than Sexy

We've explored the world of super-hot, vintage-inspired lingerie before, so we were already tuned in when it was announced today that Stella McCartney has lent her delicate hand again to New Zealand-based Bendon Ltd. to create another line of intimates. Named after women caught in "cheeky situations," the pieces—the "Eva Scampering" chemise, the "Ines Sneaking" crepe bra, and the "Rosie Plotting" feather-prints—are all grouped into one of fifteen "Grannie-Name, Action-Verb" groups. But, if we could make one artistic suggestion after seeing the puckering, matronly "Billie Twirling" collection, it'd be that "Gertrude Didn't-Iron-Nothin'" might have been a more apt moniker. The pieces run from $45 for a (classy, we're sure) cotton bikini emblazoned with "Happy Birthday" to silk, monogramed knickers for $195. We're much bigger fans of Stella's own silky wares for her eponymous lingerie collection, but we're hoping that the rest of collection to be unveiled later today will yield more tempting wares.
