The Olsen Twins and Steve Madden: A Match Made in History
Contrary to popular belief Mary-Kate and Ashley aren't breaking up the band. Rather, the Olsen sisters are teaming up with ex-shoe king Steve Madden to create a new line of footwear to accompany their Elizabeth and James collection. We can think of at least three reasons this seems like destiny. First, both the sisters and Madden have enough name-brand caché to send hundreds of thousands of young ladies running to stores, but neither have been able mobilize that into sales (Madden lost control of his namesake company some time ago). Second, Mary-Kate and Madden have wound up on the wrong side of the press for various, well-known reasons. Finally, Madden's ads from the early 2000s kind of… sort of remind us… well, you get the picture. (Elle UK)
