This Just In! Lanvin Sample Sale a Dashed Sea of Dreams (And Angry Women..)

In the is-it-or-isn't-it happening news of the century, the Lanvin sample sale was apparently just a mirage. We just got word from the Lanvin press headquarters mere moments ago, who sent in somebody to do recon work at the much-hyped sale. After waiting in a 2 hour line which curved around the block, she was told by the man working the door that it was a misunderstanding, and "actually a Rachel Roy sample sale," with no Lanvin in sight! Women began screaming furiously, and the line fizzled out dramatically afterwards. A bevy of well-heeled women in a tizzy over marked-down 3000 dollar dresses? This is better than the model stampede at Tyra's casting! If you went and have pictorial evidence, we'd love to see it. But the real question is: Who cooked this elaborate ruse up? Any ideas?
