A Century in Chucks: Converse's Celebratory Fall Looks

converse0829.jpg After so many incarnations, that Converse still has fresh gas left in the tank. And yet, for the celebration of their 100th anniversary, the iconic shoe brand's Japanese division has debuted styles like the "All Star Tassle Hi" and "Camping Hi" that hit fall trends right on the nose. A creamy pair of hi-tops with demure fringe are a somewhat unisex and definitely pretty take on the classic model. In keeping with the outdoorsy looks we've been seeing everywhere, the Camping Hi-Tops are a curious downtown version of an L.L.Bean-style duck boot. All are examples of the trend in Japan-meets-America fashion that combines U.S. history and Japanese vision to stay one step ahead.(Hypebeast)
