Whet Your Whistles: A Topshop Designer's New High Street Line

Topshop devotees can now rejoice in yet another way to get their cheapy fashion fix: Woman-with-a-golden-touch Jane Shepherdson, who first brought Topshop into the public eye and heart, is now extending her wand to high-street line Whistles. With this season being her first at Whistles since signing on early this year, Shepherdson, along with design director Nick Passmore, is wasting no time in creating, "just the things everyone wants in their wardrobe now," as he said to Elle UK. The look, which Shepherdson describes as a "boutique led collection," includes darling black cropped trousers, a raw silk tuxedo, and a dashing selection of coats perfect for a rainy London winter (okay, New York, too). The new pieces, along with a stock of bought-in brands such as Velvet and Michael Stars, are simply to die for, and we want it all. Damn you, dollar! Damn you to hell! (Elle UK)
