Working Girl + Xanadu (+Target) = Awesomeness!

haydenharnett.jpgBrooklyn-based Hayden-Harnett may be outer-borough dwellers no longer. Currently, they enjoy popularity among the heels-and-pastels crowd and rumors of their upcoming collaboration with mega-uber-retailer Target swirl about the fashion sites. After designing a pear-patterned bikini for Anthropologie, the duo of Toni Hacker and Ben Harnett have set their sights on nationwide expansion. "The designs are definitely eighties influenced," said Hacker. "It's very Working Girl, meets Xanadu, meets Memphis design." Along with their new swim line, they've also added footwear to the agenda. "I sat down on Saturday, April 27, and started sketching exactly what I was looking for: Style, comfort, personality, crafty leather love, wearability with an edge. Kicks with style and soul, interesting to look at, easy to love." Sounds like a formula for success to us. (Racked)
