Party Pics: YSL Celebrates Parisienne With a NYC-Style Masquerade Bash

If you saw The Strangers, you're probably not so keen on mask-wearing of any kind. But, in the spirit of Halloween and YSL's new fragrance Parisienne, we all came out to Angel Orensanz last night masked and dangerous. Like any respectable glam shin-dig, the Misshapes manned the music (Alexandra Richards took over later in the evening) while a crowd of theatrical party-goers sipped cocktails and preened for the many roving cameras. All in all, it was a festive fete that brought out the eccentric in us all…and what of that bunny-mask-wearing dude? He's still freaking us out!

Party On! Colette x Rodarte's Parisian-Chic Get-Together

colette-rodarte-party-5.jpg

Last night we headed over to Paris' premier concept store Colette for an opening soirée in celebration of a Kate and Laura Mulleavy curated Rodarte pop-up shop and gallery. While DJ + electronic violin + cello ensemble Something à la Mode did their thing, guests popped by for a quick sip of bubbly and a macaroon or two. Couple du jour Garance Doré and Scott Schumann did a two-minute run-through, and quick appearances were made by Dasha Zhukova, Derek Blasberg, Susie Bubble, and the inseparable Mickey Boardman and Lynn Yaeger. Click through for more pictures of our favorite shiny happy party people including Michael Stipe (yeah!), Clémence Poésy, and Julie Gilhart.

Party On! It's a Mix of Gin and Goody Bags At In God We Trust's New Greenpoint Outpost

in-god-we-trust-store-greenpoint-party-collage2.jpg

Friends and lovers of indie boutique In God We Trust (we can't help it, we're both), journeyed to Greenpoint Avenue last night to celebrate the opening of the store's fourth outpost with owner Shana Tabor and the whole IGWT crew. Revelers headed straight for one of the two bars in either the string-lit back patio or white-walled warehouse space, where bartenders were mixing Hendricks Gin cocktails and pouring Bear Flag wine, before drifting into the shop to peruse the wares. We couldn't help but grab a few birthday gifts (M&Co. watches! The Hill-Side ties!), and nabbed a pretty great gift bag filled with treats like IGWT jewelry, discounts to Greenpoint boutiques Alter and Hayden-Harnett, and a free bang trim—a necessity for most L-trainers—from The Parlour. Though it takes a lot of trust in God to take the G-train anywhere, the party proved worth the wait on the platform, and now that we have yet another reason to do a Greenpoint shop-crawl, we'll be making the trip more often…no faith in a higher power required!

Party On! It's a Glitzy Gilded Age Romp At the Dior J'Adore 10th Anniversary Party

Given the setting and theme of the Dior J'Adore "Golden Goddess" 10th anniversary party last night at the glitzy Boom Boom Room at The Standard Hotel, we wouldn't blame you for thinking the Gilded Age was here again. All the elements of an epic evening bash seemed to be in place: Great tunes (courtesy of Harley Viera Newton), a posh locale, ridiculous views of NYC, and hot Rubin Chappelle-clad waitresses carrying around trays of gold-dusted miniature cupcakes. Fashion and social scenesters like Coco Rocha, Olivia Palermo, Tinsley Mortimer, Lauren Santo Domingo, Lydia Hearst, and Ali Hilfiger, not to mention our newest girl-crush Lykke Li (who's been working on the next Twilight soundtrack), turned up to toast the iconic Dior fragrance in extravagant style. Click through for our party snaps of all the golden goddesses we caught J'Adore-ing their way into the late, late night.

On the Scene! Giles Deacon's Bubbly London Jewelry Party

giles-deacon-party-spring-10-1.jpg

He may be saving his spring 2010 collection for Paris, but Giles Deacon hasn't forgotten his British roots. The designer hosted a presentation and party last night in the Portico Rooms of London's Somerset House (aka the British Fashion Council mothership for London Fashion Week) to show off his colorful new jewelry collection. Sure enough, the quirky but covetable baubles were just the thing to perk us up after a long day of hitting the shows. Showcased on a thin mirrored table anchored by a giant mouse head centerpiece made from carnations, the designs ran the gamut from furry jewel-encrusted cuffs in red, black, and gray, to statement chain-link necklaces boasting brilliant clusters of pearls, semiprecious jewels, and fang-like crystal shards. There were also enough spider and mice-themed rings, cuffs, and chain necklaces to put an exterminator's kid through college.

Deacon, who told us he turned to jewelry to "try and stay alive," entertained guests like a pink gingham-suited Judy Blame in a room framed by two blue-lit terraces, one of which overlooked the London Eye. As DJs Nathan Gregory and Hazel Robinson manned the turntables, the crowd of fashion insiders (seemingly united by their fondness for pink lipstick and snakeskin shoes) drank their weight in fruity cocktails, admired the views, and paid their respects to a man who always seems to work a little fun into fashion.

The Roitfelds & Armani Hit the West Village For A Pretty People-Packed Art Night

The scene outside of 560 Washington Street last night was exactly what you would expect from an event co-hosted by Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, Andy Valmorbida, and, the tan man himself, Giorgio Armani. Models, curators, and actors alike gathered in a sprawling space to celebrate the opening night of famed graffiti artist Richard Hambleton's exhibit. Outside, Julia and Carine, both clad in black body-con dresses and lust-worthy heels, happily obliged to having their photo taken while visitors were lead down a near pitch-black corridor to enter the space. Once inside the enchanting space, we spotted Vanessa Traina, Josh Hartnett, Lauren Santo Domingo, Derek Blasberg, Stavros Niarchos, Hilary Rhoda, Fabiola Beracasa, and Purple's magazine's Olivier Zahm (just to name a few) all holding court and glasses of champagne. No party scandal to speak of, but with Fashion Week winding to a close, it was just the kind of low-key glamour we were in the mood for.
