R29 and friends converged on Ludlow Street Thursday night to toast the opening of the Lower East Side's newest guy shop, Assembly. Endearingly smug shopkeeper, Greg Armas, was on hand to greet guests and steer them to and from the bar where designers Andrew Harmon and Philip Crangi were just a few of our favorite folks sipping mint lemonade inside the minimally tricked out space. Even a few baby-faced skater boys rolled through to swill some hooch that was spiked to perfection thanks to Belvedere. Having stashed the clothes—yes, they are that covetable—the narrow space could have passed for a new LES drinking den.
