Ick: More Bad Taste Is the Trend du Jour at Stephen Sprouse Party

steven-sprouse-a-0112.jpg

And just as we finished musing on no clothing as the new clothing this morning, we noticed another awkward trend, this time courtesy of the Sprouse-ttes that descended upon the Louis Vuitton store this past Thursday night for the debut of the collab-collection: Is bad taste a new trend? We're willing to give Marc a pass for those amazing tights (that satin kilt though...hmmm), but Pat & Co.? We just don't get it. Check out the party's most questionable moments.

Bartlett for Claiborne: Um, Not So Much

claiborne_1205.jpgOkay, it must be said that we love brands from the '70s and '80s. More specifically, we look back in love to the style (or anti-style) of Liz Claiborne in particular. But this new relaunch of the brand, which includes a new men's line by John Bartlett (Claiborne by John Bartlett) has us worried. We hemmed and hawed about posting this, but we had to make note of the Miami floral shrimp cocktail thing going on here—this whole getup looks like a '70s livingroom set. We think you should probably have the last word on this in the comments. (WWD)

The Mansiere Exists: A Man's Newest Undergarment?

manbra1119b.jpg

We, like every other jaded New Yorker, are fans of Seinfeld. We, of course, remember Kramer's preposterous conceit of the "bro", a bra for men. Many moons ago we shoved that idea in our "Silly" file and forgot about it—until this afternoon, that is. Seems our friends to the East in Japan couldn't shake the idea and bravely went where no man has gone before: the bra for men. Not nearly as tasteful as Miuccia Prada's experimentation for her fall/winter '08 collection blending menswear and women's under garments, wouldn't you say? Believe it or not, we never enrolled for that Japanese class we were thinking of taking, so we leave it to you, our trusted readers, to let us know what the ads say in the comments below. Keep us posted. (Gizmodo)

Return to Sender: Bushy Bosley's Eyebrow Transplants

eyebrow_implants_bert.jpgIf you've taken a look at Coco Rocha's forehead recently you'd know that pronounced eyebrows have—much like Brooke Shields—experienced a minor renaissance as of late. But alas, some women's brows are too wispy and wimpy to join this apparent fad. No worries, Bosley, a hair replacement company now offers eyebrow transplants for, as the press release says, overplucked women who have found that, "tattooing does not create a realistic brow and hair growth creams do not create fullness necessary for natural, lush looking brows." Far be it from us to judge, be we feel that unless you've had some sort of accident with a deep fryer, it's best to just let this one float downstream.

Bullseye: Guns Get Girly

guns1028.jpg

TrendLand must be needing a cathartic release these days, since they posted on these Glam Guns, which come in styles of the Princess Di handgun, the Hello Kitty AK-47 or the "My Little Pony" carbine. The guns, which would be the "it" accessory at a Heatherette or Jeremy Scott show, are perfect for those little ladies who like Pulp Fiction as much as they like The Little Mermaid. For some reason, we can't help but thinking we know what little baby Zahara Jolie-Pitt will be getting this year for Christmas. Even though Glam Guns seems lethally serious about sales, we think this might just be a joke… at least we hope so.
