R.I.P John Hughes: Our Favorite Style Moments From the Most Iconic Brat Pack Films...
We were stunned yesterday to hear that John Hughes, the talented director who molded our adolescence with his simultaneously sensitive and hilarious depiction of Midwestern high schoolers and their angsty trials and tribulations, passed away at the age of 59. Though Hughes' rotating Brat Pack cast of characters often played pranks, flouted authority, and threw minor hissy fits, he managed to portray all of that teen spirit in style, so in honor of his timeless work, click ahead for our favorite John Hughes movie style moments.

Ali Michael Stars in Nomenus Quarterly's Suspensful, Nail-Biting Mini Flick

Is that Matthew Barney under that neon crinoline hat supine in a dingy bathtub? Why, no, it's just Ali Michael sporting some fairly wet Hussein Chalayan. As visually arresting as a video-art installation by Mr. Cremaster himself, 'INTERVAL,' a mini-flick made to accompany Chalayan profile in Nomenus Quarterly, is full aggressive, evocative images enriched with color-saturated bold hues perfect for cataloging the work of one of fashion's most slippery, challenging creators. Produced by FLY's Catherine Camille Cushman and Stephen Blaise and directed by photographer Jamie Isaia (of Art + Commerce) the vid presents Ms. Michael draped in a Chalayan dress as she torturously bites off each of her neon artificial nails while two women in veiled hats sit side by side in a modest living room. It's a little bit The Shining, a little bit Barney, and a whole lot of sexy scary. Watch out for the surprise ending! (To view go to www.16x9.com)

Scary Sexy! From Thriller to Horror, We Round Up the Freakiest Flicks With the Sexiest Scenes Ever!
As the temps along with our hemlines begin to rise, there's really nothing cooler (literally) than escaping to a double-feature in a dark, air-conditioned theater. Taking inspiration from summer blockbuster season—and because we are beyond smitten with steamy solstice cinema—our movie-crazed minds compiled a handful of freaky flicks that seamlessly fuse scary with sexy. Think sultry psychological thrillers, hot-and-heavy trysts fueled by near-fatal car wrecks, sensual blood-sucking, and rousing make-out sessions with cold-blooded monsters. Let the hot summer movies begin…
Bram Stoker's Dracula, 1992
Frances Ford Coppola's horror masterpiece Bram Stoker's Dracula heats up the screen with Gary Oldman as the original blood-sucker who seduces a naïve Winona Ryder, gets down in wolf form with a lusty damsel, and hooks up an unsuspecting Keanu Reeves with a harem of voracious femme vamps. Talk about love bites.

In Honor of Valentine's Day, Get It on With Our Top 14 Sexiest Movies of All Time
Good old February 14 is the best of all possible times to get out your bag o' tricks and indulge your naughty side. Luckily, if you're in need of some inspiration, we've got plenty. From American Gigolo to The Dreamers, we've assembled a super list of our favorite sexy, lustful movies—films whose flames still burn hot-and-sexy bright even after almost 80 years. Just don't blame us if your DVD player melts.
Ecstasy (Extase), 1933
What could be sexier than Hedy Lamarr nakedly swimming and running through the forest? This film is timeless and stunning and sexy enough to be banned as the first nude scene in cinema.
The Unbearable Lightness of Being, 1988
Trying to decide who's sexier, between the infinitely hot Lena Olin, a very young and lovely Juliette Binoche, and a forever foxy Daniel Day-Lewis who plays the doctor torn between the two, is virtually impossible. Luckily, we don't have to decide—and neither did they. Perhaps all can be summed up by the love triangle's unofficial catch-phrase, "Take off your clothes."

Fashionable Feline: The Frisky, Deadly Chic of Cat People

The 1982 film remake of Cat People stars Nastassja Kinski as Irina, a waifish werecat in New Orleans who mutates into a black panther when feeling lusty. While trying to remain chaste and avoid ancestrally incestuous kin, Irina looks sexily frustrated in one seriously incompatible romance.
Fashion Fetish: Irina's 80's prep style of a short, side-parted Human League coif, pearl earrings, ankle-tie espadrilles, boatneck stripes, bra-less loose knits and paper bag waist denim is flirty and sweet. But once she dons those khaki micro shorts, knotted white shirt, and a kinky pair of thigh-high fishing waders, we know that bothersome virginity thing is over and it's going to end in some very sexy tears.
Copy the Look: Get all animalistic in the VPL drop-neck knit top, Steven Alan cuff-short, and the Capezio lace-up dance shoe. Add black tights for the cold and bitter chocolate toothpaste by Breath Palette for the bite.

From Cigarillos to Alex Wang, Lessons on Channelling Your Best '70s French Mistress

Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 1977 film Chinese Roulette features Anna Karina as Irene Cartisse, the stylish French mistress caught in a weekend of upper class melodrama, Munich mansions, crippled children, plexiglass interiors, dead deer, and psychological parlor games.

Fashion Fetish: Anna is in wealthy Bohemia splendor as she sports fringed scarves, auburn hair, smokes cigarillos, and paces nervously in fetching 1940-cum-1970s-style heels, this is a lady who can pull it together enough to do some serious accessorizing. For demure daywear she opts for a floral-printed skirt and red-lacquered nails, but for night-time melodramatics, Anna busts out a slinky one-shouldered silver printed gown, T-bar shoes, and completely wraps her hair in a black fringe scarf for that fancy-but-uncomfortable-Germanic-dinner-party look.
